Expert Statement

My focus here is to engage in how and under which conditions policy responses states and global governance institutions deviate or comply with international human rights and democratic norms, particularly during a global security crisis such as the COVID-19 pandemic. I am an expert on the politics of humanitarian foreign aid, human rights compliance during global and national crises, democratic norms, and the politics of great powers (e.g. United States and China).
